A New Mathematical Model for Economic Ordering with Preventive Maintenance and Reworking in a Supply Chain

Cost reduction in production systems is one of the main concerns most manufacturing industries. Achieving this goal requires effective use resources. Nowadays, due to competitiveness and need reduce costs deliver goods on time, equipment availability prevention unexpected stops are particularly important industrial units. In recent years, equipment, machinery, human resources have been foundations any organization. On other hand, increase productivity efficiency providing services achieve global standards, special attention should be paid machinery reducing downtime costs. This research conducted a mathematical formulation find best possible solution for economic quantity inventory ordering by considering preventive maintenance. model, success organizations increasing quality depends various reasons, such as maintenance repair systems. proposed defective items considered, an optimal amount way that entire system, including cost, setup, maintenance, inspection, rework costs, minimized during period per unit time. The numerical results show periods leads upward trend total cost supply chain. Moreover, sensitivity analysis shows longer machine, higher reliability system well will achieved.
